Iqra Pre-school
follows the British National Curriculum for the
foundation stage, children from the age of three
up to the end of the reception year. The early
learning goals set out in this curriculum set
high expectations for the end of the foundation
stage, but expectations which are achievable for
most children. |
We provide
learning experiences of the highest quality throughout
the foundation stage while allowing flexibility
to the unique needs of each child, ensuring a
secure foundation on which future learning can
build. Our contribution to this critical stage
in the early development and learning of the children
is a hugely positive one. Children develop rapidly
during this time - physically, intellectually,
emotionally and socially. The foundation stage
is about developing key learning skills such as
listening, speaking, concentration, persistence
and learning to work together and cooperate with
other children. It is also about developing early
communication, literacy and numeric skills that
will prepare young children for key stage 1 of
the national curriculum. |
